Identify your XYSJ10 fountain

  • Model: Sovelivee XYSJ10.
  • Nominal capacity: 17 L. Fill using the MIN and MAX marks.
  • Tank and drinking tray: 304 stainless steel.
  • Supplied power adapter: Input AC 100–240 V; output DC 5 V, <2 A.

The main parts are the faucet spout, drinking tray, filter cartridge, pump, water tank and water-level window. The pump sponge fits into the pump cover and is a different part from the filter cartridge.

What is included?

The package includes one each of the fountain, cleaning brush, faucet adapter, bubbling outlet, faucet spout, pump with hose, power adapter and user manual. The faucet adapter is the outlet fitting; the power adapter supplies electricity.

Set up your XYSJ10 fountain

Before assembly

Keep the power adapter disconnected until the final step. Place the fountain on a flat, stable indoor surface.

  • Keep your hands, the power adapter, plug and USB connector dry.
  • Disconnect the adapter before refilling, cleaning, removing parts or changing outlets.
  • Keep water above MIN without exceeding MAX. Never run the pump dry, even with low-water protection.
  • Keep electrical parts and cords away from children.
  • If the pump, cord or power adapter is damaged, stop using the fountain and contact support.

1. Rinse the parts

With power disconnected, rinse the tank, drinking tray, faucet spout, bubbling outlet, faucet adapter, filter holder and pump sponge with clean water.

2. Prepare the filter

For the XYSJ10, rinse each new filter first. Soak it in a separate container of clean drinking water for 3–5 minutes, then rinse it again. Do not soak it in the fountain tank. The pump sponge only needs rinsing; do not apply the cartridge soaking procedure to it.

3. Fit the pump and filter

Fit the pump sponge into the pump cover. Connect the pump outlet to the hose beneath the drinking tray. Place the prepared filter cartridge in its holder and close the holder.

4. Add fresh drinking water

Fill the tank above MIN without exceeding MAX. Use the water-level marks; the nominal 17 L capacity is not an instruction to pour 17 L into the assembled fountain.

5. Fit the tray and choose the outlet

Keep the power adapter unplugged and seat the tray securely on the tank. For faucet mode, fit the spout to create a raised stream. For bubbling mode, remove the spout and fit the separate bubbling outlet. Always disconnect power before changing outlets.

6. Connect power and check circulation

Make sure your hands, the power adapter and the USB connector are dry. Connect the supplied power adapter and check that water circulates normally. If water does not flow, disconnect power and follow the XYSJ10 troubleshooting checks.

Daily use and indicator lights

Check the XYSJ10 water level and cleanliness every day. Refill or change the water as needed, disconnecting power before refilling. Change the water at least weekly as part of cleaning. A daily check does not mean that water must always be changed daily.

What do the blue and red lights mean?

Blue means the fountain is running. Red means low water. The XYSJ10 pump stops automatically when water is low. Unplug the adapter, refill above MIN without exceeding MAX, then reconnect; the pump resumes automatically. Low-water protection does not replace daily checks or allow dry running.

Cleaning and maintenance

Disconnect the power adapter before cleaning the fountain or removing any parts. Use this schedule and adjust care to the condition of the water and filter.

How do I clean the XYSJ10 pump?

  1. Unplug the power adapter. Remove the pump cover, filter sponge, impeller cap and impeller.
  2. Use a small brush and clean water to remove hair and deposits from the pump parts and impeller chamber. Rinse the sponge with clean water.
  3. Rinse and refit the sponge and all other parts.
  4. Fill above MIN without exceeding MAX, then reconnect the power adapter.

Replace the filter cartridge

The XYSJ10 manual recommends replacing the cartridge every 2–4 weeks, with a more frequent 1–2-week interval also suggested. Adjust to water quality, the number of pets and filter condition. Replace a dirty filter sooner; the interval is not a fixed service-life guarantee.

  1. Disconnect the power adapter before removing the used filter.
  2. Rinse the new filter, soak it for 3–5 minutes in a separate container of clean drinking water, then rinse again. Do not soak it in the fountain tank.
  3. Place the prepared filter in its holder and close the holder.
  4. Check the assembly and fill above MIN without exceeding MAX before reconnecting power.

The filter cartridge and pump sponge have different maintenance requirements. For the XYSJ10 sponge, rinse and refit it when cleaning the pump every 2 weeks; there is no scheduled replacement interval in the manual.

Troubleshoot your XYSJ10 fountain

Unplug the power adapter before refilling, cleaning, removing parts or checking connections. Reassemble the fountain and confirm that water is above MIN without exceeding MAX before reconnecting.

Red light or low water

Unplug the adapter, refill above MIN without exceeding MAX, then reconnect. The pump resumes automatically after the water level is restored and power is reconnected.

No water flow

Unplug the adapter. Check the USB connection and adjust the water level above MIN without exceeding MAX. Clean and reassemble the pump, then reconnect. If there is still no flow, contact support.

Weak water flow

For the XYSJ10, first confirm that water is above MIN without exceeding MAX. While the assembled fountain is running at this water level, wait a few minutes for trapped air to escape. If the flow remains weak, unplug the adapter and clean the pump and impeller before reassembling and reconnecting.

Slime or odor

Unplug the adapter. Change the water, clean the fountain and replace any dirty filter cartridge. Increase the cleaning frequency. If the issue persists after these checks, contact support.

Compatible filters and parts

The recommended replacement cartridge for the XYSJ10 is the Sovelivee SL-PFF KDF filter, measuring 95 × 41 × 10 mm (length × width × thickness). This cartridge is separate from the sponge inside the pump cover.
